TDK/EPCOS B88269 HVC series gas-filled high-voltage contactors are available in bipolar and unipolar designs with continuous current capacity up to 500A and nominal voltages up to 1200V. Product Series is designed to disconnect dc circuits. Devices feature two magnets along the side of the stationary contacts and the contactors bridge, letting the arc run along the side to move it away from the contact points to avoid direct contact which would result in higher abrasion. The hermetically sealed design offers high reliability even under harsh environmental conditions. Most are available in single or dual coil configurations. Devices are 30% smaller and 40% lighter than standard types.
